Degraded Service - Waikokowai Region

Our upstream fibre provider has isolated and resolved the problem causing a fibre outage to our Glen Massey transmission site. All services are now taking normal network paths. Lightwire engineers will monitor for stability over the course of the day but are content that this has been fully resolved.

[2026-01-11 15:13:51 NZDT] Lightwire engineers are aware of an upstream fibre outage affecting our Glen Massey transmission site. Due to this, the Waikokowai transmission site is taking redundant paths. Engineers have attempted to mitigate the impact of this as much as possible but services are expected to be degraded during peak hours.

Illume Portal Customer Portal Outage

We’re currently experiencing a partial outage affecting our customer portals. Some customers may notice limited functionality or be unable to access certain features. Our engineers are actively investigating the issue and working to restore full service as quickly as possible. We’ll provide further updates as more information becomes available.

  • Update 2:49pm NZT - Our customer portals are now working normally again and we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will be making a small platform change to increase capacity and improve system stability and resilience. There will be a very brief interruption while the update is applied.

    These changes reduce the likelihood of similar interruptions in the future and support continued performance as usage grows.

  • Update 2:28pm NZT - All functionality should be fully restored however we are closely monitoring to ensure stability
