Lightwire has been informed of an outage to mains power supplying the Houchens Road transmission site. While our site has backup battery power, there is a chance that in the event of an extended outage, or factors outside of Lightwire's control, you may lose your connection. Subsequently some adjacent transmissions sites that connect through Houchens road will reroute, and use back up paths in this event. We will be working hard to get you back on line as soon as we can! Service has been restored, if you find that your connection is still offline then please reboot all on-site equipment - if this fails to restore your connection then please email us at support@lightwire.co.nz describing your connection issues, or call us tomorrow during business hours on 0800 12 13 14.

History:

[2022-12-12 17:15:47 NZDT] Lightwire Engineers have been unable to remotely restore the failed equipment, Technicians are being dispatched now in order to replace the failed equipment and are estimated to arrive on-site at 6:40pm.

[2022-12-12 16:55:53 NZDT] Lightwire engineers have been made aware of an incident affecting our Te Kawa transmission site. A vital piece of equipment has failed here and will need to be replaced by Lightwire engineers on site.

Affected customers will experience a full loss of service until Lightwire engineers are able to attend the site to replace the faulty equipment and restore the service to the region.
