Lightwire has found a mains power fault causing customers connections to be offline in the Athentree Gorge area

There is a possibility your connection may not return after the mains power returns as we are aware of an issue with the backup battery system on this repeater site that has occured due to the mains power outage.

Lightwire engineers are currently investigating this fault and we will continue to update you as this situation progresses.

Lightwire Technicians are heading out to investigating an issue at our Mt Kakepuku site. If equipment replacement is required, the service will run over redundant links which may cause degraded performance while until the replacement is complete.

Lightwire has been informed of a mains power outage affecting a number of our transmission sites in the Te Mata area. While we have battery backup on site, you may experience a complete loss of service or a degraded speeds in the event of an extended power outage or for reasons outside of Lightwire's control.

Latest update:

A power outage in the area had been posted by the local power company. This has now been resolved and the Lightwire site is back online.

Lightwire technicians will be attending the site in the morning to investigate further, as battery backup should have kept the site running during the power outage.

We will be working hard to get you back online as soon as we can! Other sites connected to the Hill transmission site may also be experiencing degradation of service while connections use back up pathways as well.
