Our carrier has advised that they are confident that the temporary workaround has resolved all calling issues, and services will be migrated back to their standard platform overnight provided no further issues occur. Lightwire engineers will monitor, and resolve this event after that migration.

[2024-12-05 13:11:49 NZDT] We have received an update from the affected carrier to say that they have implemented a temporary workaround to resolve calling issues, while they work with a vendor to resolve an ongoing issue.

Lightwire will keep this incident open until a permanent resolution has been advised.


[2024-12-05 12:22:33 NZDT] Lightwire's voice engineers have been appraised of an issue affecting an upstream carrier that may impact inbound calls to New Zealand numbers. A flap on their network has impacted their voice platform, causing incoming calls to experience delays before ringing, or potentially fail.

The carrier's Network Operations Centre is working to resolve this as soon as possible.

Updates will be provided when they are made available to Lightwire.
