Unplanned Incident

Latest update:

During routine account and service clean-up, incorrect data was ingested into Lightwire’s service management platform. The platform processed this data as valid and unintentionally changed service states. This resulted in some services becoming unavailable for a small subset of customers.

Our NOC detected the issue immediately through internal monitoring. The networks team reverted the changes and restored services.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. A report for outage (RFO) will be made available on request.

[2025-11-28 13:43:20 NZDT] We've isolated the immediate fault and restored the majority services that we believe were impacted. At this stage, we are still trying to determine the full impact and if any services are still down. We don't anticipate further disruption. We'll provide more details soon.


[2025-11-28 13:13:43 NZDT] Lightwire Engineers are investigating a potential issue affecting Lightwire services. We don't have much detail just yet sorry, but senior engineers are looking into it with urgency and we will provide more information as soon as possible.

Incident - Site Offline - Orini

Our network monitoring has detected that one of our Orini tower sites has gone offline. As a result, all services connecting through this tower are also offline. Our engineers have begun investigating the cause of this outage, and we are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We have no ETR at this early stage.
