The power outage is due to planned works in the area. A generator will be deployed within the next hour to bring the site back online while the planned overhead lines works are completed. Lightwire technicians will also be attending site in the near future to assess why the site did not fail over to battery backup successfully.

[2025-02-24 10:55:56 NZDT] Lightwire engineers are aware of a power outage affecting out Putaruru repeater site. Unfortunately, the battery backup on this site appears to have failed. As such, the site is currently offline until power is restored. Lightwire is working with upstream providers to gather more information on the mains outage.

Lightwire Engineers were able to resolve this issue remotely and restore services. All connections should now be back online. If not, please re-boot all on-site equipment.

[2025-02-18 11:13:34 NZDT] A Lightwire tower in the Te Akau/Waingaro area has developed a critical fault with equipment that has caused the site to go offline.

All customers in this region will currently be experiencing a full outage to their services. Lightwire engineers are configuring replacement equipment for a technician to the site today in order to restore services.
