[2024-07-04 13:52:21 NZST] Lightwire engineers and technicians were able to resolve this issue and, after observing continuous stability on the equipment, have restored the network to it's normal operating conditions.

[2024-07-02 16:28:13 NZST] Lightwire engineers are aware of a fault impacting a primary backhaul route on our network. Due to this, a large part of our network is utilizing redundant paths and you may experience slower than normal service speeds during peak hours.

Engineers are working on a fix to restore services to normal as soon as possible. Lightwire will update this notification with further updates as they come.

Notification of Unplanned Carrier Outage

The upstream provider has confirmed that Power to their site has been restored, so this connection should now be back online. If that is not the case, please re-boot all on-site equipment, and reach out to us on 0800 534 567 if that does not bring things back online.

Our upstream provider has confirmed that this issue was resolved as of 7pm on 25/06, the cause of this outage has been attributed to major errors with the FPC that Lightwire's MET service terminates on.

[2024-06-25 19:51:09 NZST] Lightwire have been informed that the upstream carrier for our Dunedin handover is experiencing an unplanned outage, services are expected to be intermittently unavailable while they work to resolve this issue.

An upstream provider will be conducting hardware maintenance to parts of their network. It is expected that services will be unavailable for up to 240 minutes across the outage window.
