RESOLVED: National grid power outages causing impact around the network

RESOLVED: Major power interruptions on the national grid are causing significant network impacts across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty. Our rural wireless network is re-routing traffic as best as possible and most sites have switched to battery backup where available. Some services will be operating at reduced capacity, and there may be unexpected service breaks during this time as the network attempts to re-route around issues to find secondary paths.

[Resolved] Waiterumu site loss of service

Lightwire network equipment hosted at the Waiterimu School has gone offline due to a loss of power. This equipment provides capacity to a number of sites in the area. The Lightwire team is attempting to contact someone with access to the premises to identify the cause of this fault.

Until this fault can be rectified the network is pushing all traffic through backup links. Customers will notice a reduction in performance during this time.
