[2026-09-27 20:23:03 NZDT] Attempts at remediating the outage remotely have been unsuccessful.

A technician will be dispatched to site during daylight hours when it is safe to access the site location. We anticipate that this will be first thing Monday morning.

[2026-09-27 19:30:54 NZDT] Lightwire engineers have detected an outage at our Kairangi hilltop radio tower. The cause is unknown, and under remote investigation.

Broadband connectivity facilitated by this site will be offline until the issue is resolved. We will provide further information as we learn it.

Update: Upstream providers have isolated the issue on their end and put a fix in place. We are now seeing normal call data again.

We are awaiting further information from the upstream provider and will provide another update here as soon as more information becomes available.

[2026-09-23 10:11:29 NZST] Lightwire Engineers have isolated the issue to a change made by an upstream provider, which is causing approximately 10% of inbound off-net calls to fail.

[2026-09-23 09:58:20 NZST] Lightwire Engineers have discovered that some inbound calls to Lightwire Voice Systems are failing. The investigation is still on going and we will provide updates as soon as we can.

[2026-09-23 09:50:47 NZST] Lightwire Engineers are investigating a potential issue affecting voice services. We don't have much detail just yet sorry, but senior engineers are looking into it with urgency and we will provide more information as soon as possible.

Lightwire has been made aware of a fault on upstream carrier network affecting multiple services in the Tauranga Area.

The carrier is currently investigating and we are awaiting more details.
