[2026-01-04 16:03:59 NZDT] Lightwire has identified that a mains power failure has caused interruption to internet services in the Athenree area. A technician was dispatched and was unable to repair the issue.

Lightwire has logged a fault with the local lines company, and hope to revisit tomorrow with battery backup as a contingency option if normal service is not already restored.

Technicians have been dispatched to attend the site; however there is a possibility the service may go offline before they arrive. We will be working to restore service as quickly as possible once on site.
