Lightwire Network Protection during COVID-19, scheduled 3 weeks ago

During this period of unprecedented demand on New Zealand's network infrastructure, our engineers will be closely monitoring network performance day by day and will be potentially implementing overnight changes if required at short notice in order to ensure continued network availability and performance. You may occasionally see short outages within off-peak work windows of 1am to 5am NZDT as our engineers implement these changes as required.

Lightwire PPPoE Platform BNG Upgrade, scheduled 2 months ago

On Monday the 23rd of March between 1am and 5am NZDT, Lightwire will be migrating all customers using PPPoE as a connection method to our new BNG’s (routers).

During this work window, authentication platform will be down for approx 15 minutes (established connections not affected) then; PPPoE disconnection and re-connection causing 10 seconds to 15 minutes downtime based on your router (average is 1-2 minutes).

If your connection remains offline, please try power-cycling your router for 5 to 10 minutes before calling our support desk.
