Service Degradation - Te Kauwhata Region

Technicians have replaced on-site equipment which had failed due to being struck by lightning, the majority of connections have been restored however a small number remain offline which we are currently working to resolve.

[2022-11-21 12:18:13 NZDT] Technicians are currently on-site to identify and replace what equipment has failed.


[2022-11-20 16:05:27 NZDT] Our Engineering Team has identified that it's currently unsafe to perform remedial works today, we will be attending this site as soon as possible to resolve this incident.


[2022-11-20 14:17:35 NZDT] Lightwire has been made aware of a link dropping offline in the Te Kauwhata region. Affected customers are expected to have poor speeds while connections operate over backup links until it is restored. Lightwire Engineers are currently investigating and it may require a technician visit to resolve. We will be working hard to restore your connection as soon as possible.

Your speeds should return to normal once this link has been restored but if you have any connection issues past the point of the incident being resolved, please reboot your Lightwire equipment at the property.
