Degraded Service - Wairakau Region

[Emergency Maintenance] Lightwire technicians will be able to safely attend site today to investigate and replace faulty equipment this morning. Repairs may require an outage of up to a 45 minutes, which we estimate to occur between 10:30am and 12pm at this time.

[2022-11-11 12:42:24 NZDT] Due to the current weather conditions near the tower, Lightwire has deemed it too high of a health and safety risk to visit the site at this time and are unable to perform the emergency maintenance. The works will be postponed to Monday the 14th of November.


[2022-11-11 10:59:59 NZDT] [Emergency Maintenance] Engineers have further identified an issue on site causing brief intermittent outages to all customer services. Lightwire technicians will be investigating and replacing any faulty equipment this afternoon. Repairs are likely to require an outage of up to a 45 minutes, which we estimate to occur between 1pm and 3pm at this time.

[2022-11-10 17:18:28 NZDT] Lightwire Engineers have become aware of a fault on our transmission link at Wairakau. Engineers are currently investigating the root cause but until a fix is implemented you may experience intermittent connection quality or degraded service.
