Our fibre provider has identified the source of the fibre cut to be due to road works and is working towards addressing the fault. There is no estimated time to restoration at the moment.
We have taken steps to alleviate pressure on redundant network paths, but services may become further degraded as network demand increases into the afternoon until fibre repairs are made.

Lightwire is now aware that a fibre cut is affecting our Waiterimu transmission site. The fibre provider has dispatched technicians to investigate further. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
We have included additional sites with this update which may be experiencing degraded services due to this event.

Lightwire Engineers are currently investigating a possible fault at our Waiterimu transmission site causing an outage to associated connections. We will be working hard to get you back online as soon as we can!
Other sites connected to the Waiterimu transmission site may also be experiencing degradation of service while connections use backup pathways.
